Breaking Down the Nervous Breakdown of Tech Fans on Twitter

This past Saturday, our beloved Bulldogs traveled to Bowling Green, KY to take on the Red Menace aka the WKU Hilltoppers. I’m assuming that most of you probably follow me on twitter (sorry) or one of the members of gtpdd (again, sorry) at least, so you probably got to witness or participated in the decent into madness and anxiety of Tech fans everywhere that Saturday evening.

Most of the game was pretty tame as far as mood and tweets, but when the 4th quarter rolled around, things got stressful. Kam McKnight scored a touchdown and that gave us all hope, which is never a good thing for the heart of a Tech fan. Anybody reading this probably knows the result of the game, so I’ll shut up now and let the tweets do the talking. We will start after McKnight scored the touchdown.

Kam McKnight faved this tweet so it has to be shared.

Post J’Mar interception.

The list of times Tech went and died almost had to be updated. Almost.

A Jaylon Ferguson sack began to give us hope again.

This is why no Tech fan will live past 30.

Tech lines up in FG formation and we place our collective sanity on Jonathan Barnes. We need him to make the kick.

KICK IS GOOD.

But then we all realized that WKU would get to return one kickoff. And we all know how Tech likes to let us down. Many buttholes would be clenched for the next few seconds.

We anxiously watched and hoped.

BUT TECH DIDN’T LET US DOWN WHEN WE NEEDED THEM THE MOST.

But most of us were still rattled for a little bit.
